Formation of Locksmith Wholesalers and our Growth History:

Locksmiths Wholesalers was founded in 1992 after we secured the Sub-Saharan Africa agency from Kaba AG for their range of mechanical high security cylinders and keys. In 1993 we obtained the contract to supply a major nationwide retailer with high security mechanical locking cylinders for their jewellery division. Since then, we have supplied other units of their shops, including their cellular sales division and to date have assembled and supplied over 25 000 cylinders. In early 2006, as a result of our long term successful relationship with this retailer, we were able to add several other national retail chains to our client list and help them secure their valuable merchandise.

In 1994 we realised our first high security electronic safe lock installation within South Africa for a major diamond producer and over the intervening years, this has grown to encompass several other precious metal industries, in the gold and platinum sectors.

We have, over the years, supplied our products to many of the Reserve Banks within Southern Africa and even further. We have also equipped many government departments with our high security protected key solutions.

KABA locks, with their high reliability and impeccable build quality, have become the standard for the commercial banking industry, where integrity is highly valued. We have also very recently been awarded the contract to supply another major SA commercial bank. Many other industries that favour our locks include gaming, CIT, jewellery and industries where the protection of cash is vital.
